John works for a living as a graphic designer and illustrator. From his early twenties he has painted in watercolour, oils and more recently acrylics. He is a member of Beechwood Artists and Bucks Art Society, regularly selling his work through local exhibitions and galleries. John’s work is based on sketches and photos, often taken on holiday, as well as found images encountered in his work as a designer. He tackles a wide range of subjects which interest and inspire him. John also produces paintings with an abstract flavour which are nevertheless carefully worked and still reflect his attention to detail.
